If you can't see Jay in person, is looking at his photo the same? Perhaps as a result of missing Jay too much, and not willing to "share" his/her idol with other people, a Jay fan has resorted to "bring" Jay home by stealing the giant cloth movie poster of Jay outside IMM shopping centre! Shaw Organisation has coorperated with CapitaLand's 6 giant shopping centres, i.e. Bishan Junction 8, Plaza Singapura, Tampines Mall, IMM, etc, to hang the movie posters and banners to promote their holiday blockbuster Initial D, which starts showing this month 23rd. At IMM, Shaw Organisation, besides hanging up Initial D posters, has specially made 9 giant cloth banners measuring 8 metres high, and 5 metres wide to let Jay Chou, Edison Chen, Shawn Yu "welcome" shoppers to promote the movie. These cloth banners, hanging on the pillars outside the shopping centre near the taxi stand, costing around 2000 dollars each , were put up only last wednesday. Who would have known that only three days later, on sunday morning Jay and Edison's banners were mysteriously gone and Shawn Yu's banner, the only one left, was also half torn down. Stars' promotion posters being stolen is not a common occurence in Singapore, however, whenever there are blockbusters, superstars and big shot singers, the promotion tools being "unfortunately lost" do happen.

This time, the movie company, knowing the "influence" of the three goodlooking guys, Jay, Edison and Shawn, arranged for them to appear together on posters to promote the movie, not expecting that only one of them, Shawn Yu will be fighting the war alone, continuing his mission.

Currently, Shaw Organisation is considering whether to replace the banners. Besides this, the Trueno AE86 car that Jay was driving in the movie also made an appearance at the shopping centre, with exciting previews of the movie showing beside it, causing an unexpected overwhelming response from car lovers fighting to take pictures with it. Is it that everyone has "sinked" too deep into the show, imagining themselves to be the character that Jay portrays in the movie?

Pres Chou coming next Tuesday, he will arrive in the afternoon instead

Jay Chou has changed his flight on 21st to CX717, arriving in Singapore at 12.30pm. Initial D's "No.1 Guy" Jay Chou originally booked the SQ1 flight to arrive in Singapore at 11.40am next Tuesday together with the other male cast, Edison Chen, Shawn Yu, Anthony Wong as well as the director. However, Shaw Organisation revealed that Jay and the other actors and director have confirmed to be flying on CX717. Shaw Organisation says, "The arrival time is only thirty minutes apart, the main reason for the change is because they will be flying off to Malaysia, Taiwan and Hongkong to promote the movie after this stop, thus taking Cathay flights will be much more convenient." (hmmm, wonder if its anything to do with Cathay being voted best airline? lol!)

Japanese Jay Fans Fix the 18th of every Month to be "J Day"
[News from Taipei] Jay Chou's popularity is rapidly rising in Japan. As Jay's birthday is on 18th of January, Jay Fans from Japan have decided to fix the 18th of every month to be "Jay" Day. They will also be holding regular meetups on this "Jay" day every month.

Jay is becoming more and more famous in Japan nowadays, and the fans keep appealing for him to come to Japan to hold concerts. The pre-orders of "Grandeur D Major" and "Island Box" have had very good response so far, thus the publishers have a lot of confidence in Jay's selling ability in Japan's industry.

These Japanese Jay fans got to know Jay's music when they toured Taiwan and China. Initially it was only a few Japanese students learning Chinese, in the end more and more people became fans of Jay, even setting up a Jay Club consisting of quite a number of people. They have also on and off travelled to Taiwan to support Jay's activities. (wow, cool! )
